Let's face it....Carter was simply too liberal to be an effective President of the United States. And the voters made that very clear when they chose to remove Carter and replace him with Ronald Reagan.
That being said, Jimmy Carter was 15.6 times more qualified to be POTUS than Obambi ;^) Some might even say he was 16.7 percent more qualified than THE Messiah.

He's too young to handle this job...46 year old guy who hasn't gained enough worldly experience one needs to govern. I blame his inexperience more than anything else. Plus he surrounds himself with academics, the kind that live within the ivy walls instead of working out in the real world. Even with Clinton, he had governed Arkansas even if it was a small state. But he was also a Rhodes Scholar and deeply intelligent who has a photographic memory believe it or not. obama wants to remake the US into a socialist state like they have in Europe and the American people will always be resistant to that. Next election he won't get the White middle class middle of the road independent votes like he did this time. That's just my guess and opinion. I don't think he's a bad man as much as someone whose only real world experience was as a community organizer and a few years in the Senate. He's the wrong man at the wrong time. I will go out on a limb and say even now he will be defeated in 2012 by either Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney, yes Mitt Romney if he gets that far. The only real thing that gets me is his age, he's too young to govern a nation. McCain/Palin would have been the wrong choice as well so I'm not upset obama won. It also struck down the notion that America still holds racist views....we don't. Proof was obama's election. If that's what it took to erase racism once and for all I'm glad he did win at this time. So some good has come out of him winning. Having said that, Socialism just won't work...providing jobs somehow will. If there were term limits on all elected office on the Federal level I truly don't think we'd have the gridlock we do so to speak. Just my honest opinion.

Then why did Reagan win a landslide? Probably the same reason obama won, it was time for a big change. Reagan if he were alive today would always win whatever office he would choose to run for.
