Help (Smart ass comments are welcome too if they are funny)

Does anyone know anyone over at Poker Stars who is not an a-hole? lol

I wanted to change my nick name to be the same as it is everywhere
else. Poker Stars support was not very helpful in this matter. One of
the guys on PokerVT forum suggested closing the account and then re-
joining with a new name and that'd he'd done that before. So I gave
that a try and caused a whole mess. Now I have a new account but they
won't let me deposit or play. Been E-mailing support back and forth.
I'd rather not go to UB or FT since PokerVT hosts their learning
sessions and weekly tourney on PS. I have never had any problems or
issues with the site. I respect the other players and enjoy playing on
Poker Stars. Any suggestions? If your suggestion gets me re-instated
I'll send you a few bucks via PayPal. Thanks!

P.S. When I closed my account I told them I had a gambling problem.
This is what I was told to do or they would let it stay open and
linger.

It is clearly stated is the Stars Terms of Service that you cannot change

that forces them to bar you for life.

Seems like this is your own dog's dinner.

That was a helpful and informative reply. Ok not really. I already
knew all of that. Was trying to figure out a way to resolve the matter
without using my friends account to play on.

Sorry that you don't like it.  The fact that you are considering another
rule-breaking just to play suggests that you really should not be playing
at all.  Stars is doing you a favor.

How about man up and just explain exactly what you did and why instead of
making up all these bullshit excuses for trying to work around their terms
of service?

Pker Stars are a-holes because of your own ignorance regarding TOS and your
own dishonest actions? You basically screwed yourself......violation of TOS
and then your "story" to the PS about a gambling problem to get them
immediately close your account.

Here's the Should-a:

Ya should-a made up another name (including password) from the same
computer. If necessary, tell them you're your brother. But rather than worry
about sending the new name money, simply sign on with the old name and send
money to the other name. Use that name and you can transfer money back and
forth to your old name. My son signed on; didn't open a money account
because I sent him money that way.

Now what?

Change your IP address. They look at that. (Turn your modem off and on. Buy
a cheap router). Sign on with a new name and see if you can use a PO Box.
Mail them an international money order with the new-name account.

If you get any shit, tell them you're not the other guy (you) and that a lot
of folks live at that address. Then the money order.

Full Tilt and UB make it very easy for someone to set up a new screen name
from the same computer. I think PS makes the person do it from another
computer.

I thought i had seen something where a website was allowing people to
change their screen names very often. I dont think it is such a terrible
thing. With all of the tracking websites out there it is easy to see how
well someone plays which is an advantage instead of feeling out the table
naturally.

Cake poker allows one to change their name weekly, but the interface
SUCKS!  Your notes do however stay on the player, even after they
change their names - so I'll frequently tag the regulars and rib them when
they pop up with a new alias...
